VMware Workstation 14 Player, Host system freezes
Hi Community,
I have been using VMWare player for quite a while without any problems on Windows 10 Pro.
My SSD of my Host system died a couple of weeks ago and i reinstalled Windows 10 Pro on a new one. Since then I am facing the following problem.
Whatever guest system i start (Windows, Linux, Android), the host system completely freezes after one minute. After another minute i get a bluescrren because of the watchdog. I've tried to disable all AntiVirus software, Firewalls without any success.
The latest graphics card driver is installed. I've also tried giving the virtual machines more and less hardware resources without any changes.
Problem occured with Windows 10 Pro - 1709 and 1803.
VMware® Workstation 14 Player 14.1.2 build-8497320
VMware player has been reinstalled/repaired many times.
Have you heared about similar issues?
Is there a logfile where i can look for irregularities? I assume it's a driver problem.

VM to Windows host
Hi,
Oracle VM Manager Version : 5.2.2 r119230 (Qt5.6.2)
Linux : RHEL 5
Windows 10.
I install the Virtual machine in Windows 10 Pro, then i install the Linux 5 in Virtual machine, trying to ping the Windows 10 IP but its not connecting. I disable the Firewall in Windows and in Linux.

Slow vSAN (Nested setup)
Hi,
I have an e200-8d with a nested ESXi setup and configured each of the 3 ESXi hosts with one disk (M.2) and another disk (2.5 SATA HDD 5400rpm).
I configured vSAN to use the M.2 disk for cache and the SATA for capacity on each of the hosts but it is working extremely slow to transfer data to the vsandatastore
I ran the proactive Tests and IOPS were just at 4 and a data transfer to the vsandatastore was just at around 300KB/s
I know this is not officially supported but as an experiment to test vSAN I thought I would get much better performance since I have the M.2 disk as cache?

dvSwitch Remote Mirroring Source without VLAN Encapsulation
I'm trying to mirror traffic from a dvSwitch out a physical uplink on my server, but I can't seem to find a way to do this without vSphere (v6.7) encapsulating the mirrored traffic with a 802.1Q VLAN tag. Here is a screenshot of the problem:
The mirroring and everything works, but I don't want to encapsulate the traffic before it's mirrored. I would like it to leave the existing VLAN tags in place and just mirror the traffic. Is there a workaround/fix for this? Thanks in advance!

Подскажите, у меня esxi 6.5 захожу через web клиент . Пытаюсь скопировать vmdk файл в другую директорию. Не копируется. Создается только файл -ссылка 496 байт
Что сделать чтобы можно было копировать файлы vmdk через web клиент (остальные файлы с другими расширениями копируются нормально)

vsphere web portal clients
I'm looking to see if any web portal (outside vsphere web client) exist where I could give people access to manage their virtual machine.
I know I could build a vcloud suite but that is way too massive to build for just some tests as it also needs NSX and such.
I saw one in the forum today called autovm where I would like something like it but that one is too limited as I need to name all vm's like their IP and such.

J'ai un serveur de proxy sous Linux (Mageia/Alcasar) dont j'aimerai faire un disque virtuel mais comme c'est LINUX je ne sais pas faire depuis le PC (d'autant que Alcasar a shunté la partie Mageia et donc il me faudrait tout faire en ligne de commande), alors j'aimerai savoir s'il existait une version de VMWare en "CD bootable" pour pouvoir faire cette copie directement depuis le CD et non en démarrant le PC sur son disque dur?

vSAN on vSphere essential plus ESXi hosts
Hi,
Is vSAN compatible with ESXi hosts having essential plus kit licenses. We know we can have 3 hosts max with essential plus kit but want to make sure if vSAN can be installed on essential plus kit hosts.
Can any one have any references for this ?

ESXi 6.0.0 update 2 (free) upgrade to 6.5 update 2 - vmfs not found on USB
This is just for my home lab and I'm running ESXi off a USB stick. All datastores are on the NAS and there is no internal storage in the server. I previously upgraded using the ISO method from 5.5 to 6.0u1 without issue. However now when I put the 6.5u2 DVD in, it starts up and successfully loads 6.5.0, but it doesn't detect my USB drive as containing a VMFS partition. It just shows it as a device which is available for install. If I select "details", one of the attributes says "ESXi 6.0.0 detected", but when I proceed, it only gives me the option to install, not upgrade.
Any ideas what could be causing this and how to resolve it?

今現在、Fusion10でのWIndows10使用で、HTC VIVEを使うのは不可能ですか？
また調べても情報が出なかったのですが、不可能な場合、今後対応予定などのアナウンスはされていますか？

NSX Manager - Account
I am planning to automate certain NSX operations using REST API
For this I need to use the credentials of the NSX Manager to use REST API
NSX manager by default has only 1 account "admin"
I don't want to use this account. Below is what i am planing.
1. Create one additional account in NSX Manager using REST API
2. Assign the role as "security admin" to this user. This user will have rights to create & delete IPsets & Security group
3. Use this account in REST API to execute the commands.
Let me know if this will work,

Horizon Client 4.8 on macOS Mojave 10.4 black screen?
I'm testing macOS Mojave Beta 1, and while the Horizon Client connects fine, it's just a black screen (PCoIP OR Blast).
Anyone else successfully test this config?

HELP.. tried to re-install VM tools - Windows 2016 not booting up
hello VM experts..
I tried to uninstall VM tools as it was not being recognized within VMWare esxi web interface on my guest windows 2016 server.
of course.. i was using VMware para virtual.. so when i rebooted the machine ... i get a stop error saying that operating system cannot be found..
i'm caught in a chicken before the egg problem.. as i need to boot to install the VM ware drivers.. but cannot boot.. etc..
If anyone has run into this issue.. please let me know if there's a fix.

Perda de acesso ao DS local repetidas vezes. DS em Raid5. HP ML310 G9
Tenho um servidor HP ML310 Gen9 com ESXi 6.5. Nele tenho 4 HDs de 1Tb cada (Não são HDs específicos de servidor, mas são HDs bons)
Configurei 3 RAIDs com esses HDs. Um para o VMware 10, um para SWAP 0, um para as VMs 5. O Problema que estou tendo é somente com o DS das VMs, com raid 5.
A um tempo atrás, tive esse problema. Mas agora vem acontecendo com frequência. Umas duas vezes por dia.
Todas as VMs travam. Quando vejo o log, tenho umas 6~8 mensagens falando que perdeu o acesso ao datastore. Fica uns 3 minutos fora e volta. Passa uns 2 minutos e cai novamente. Isso acontece umas 6~8 vezes e depois tudo continua de onde parou. As VMs não reiniciam, só ficam travadas e voltam.
Aparentemente, perde o acesso por alta latencia. Depois volta normalmente, sem ter que fazer nada.
No status do vmware está tudo certo. Amanhã vou reiniciar o servidor para tentar abrir a iLO, olhar os discos, mas pelo status do vmware, mostra como tudo ok nos discos e array.
Alguma sugestão?

Windows(物理） 上にある vCenter Server バージョン 5.5 の環境から
vCenter Server Appliance 6.5 環境（ESXi）への移行を進めております。
移行の中で何点か不明な点がありますので、質問させて下さい。
１．ネットワークの前提条件として以下の様にあります
＞アプライアンスの一時的なネットワーク設定に固定 IP アドレスを割り当てる場合は、
＞IP アドレス用にDNS レコードの正引きおよび逆引きが設定されていることを確認します。
移行元であるVCSの方のIPアドレスに対してはDNS登録設定していますが
移行用の一時的な IPアドレスに対しても、VCSと同じDNSの設定をしておく必要がある
との認識でよろしいでしょうか。
２．移行時のターゲットの vCenter Server Appliance の名前ですが、
VCSと同じではいけないのでしょか。
元々物理サーバーとして存在していましたので、仮想マシン名として
被る事はなく可能であれば同じ名前で利用したいと考えております。
３．hostsファイルについて
VCSからVCSAへの移行の際に、hosts情報は引き継がれるのでしょうか。
立上げ後に設定が必要でしょうか。
知識不足で申し訳ありませんが、よろしくお願い致します。

Chelsio t520-cr 10G nic not functional in ESXi 6.7

I recently purchased two Chelsio t520-cr 10G nics to connect my ESXi box to my FreeNAS box. I installed both cards and connected them, but the card was not found in ESXi. I downloaded the driver from Chelsio and installed the cxl driver per the instructions.
The card is listed by lspci:

However, when I list the nics, the chelsio card is not listed. Only the onboard gigabit ethernet(s):

I've rebooted several times with no luck. The card itself has a steady red light which according to chelsio's documentation, just means that the card has power and it should go out when the driver is loaded. The card that I installed in the FreeNAS box was detected and the light is out as they suggested it would be.
